OK Pennsylvanians, especially those of you from western Pa., what are your thoughts on this guy?
Ideologically, he is way out there on the left, although some "left" issues just don't bother me such as legalizing MJ and gay marriage.
I worked in Braddock at Cochran Pontiac during high school (196y5-1966). I hadn't been there in years but was back last week for a wedding so I drove through not only Braddock but pretty much the entire Mon Valley from Pittsburgh to Brownsville. I was stunned. That once thriving, bustling valley is destroyed, none moreso than McKeesport.
Braddock seems to be attempting a comeback and that's why I asked about your thoughts on this guy.
I actually met him at the Pittsburgh airport on my way back and chatted with him a while, noting my "roots" of having worked in Braddock.
Can this guy make it? Do his Braddock accomplishments indicate leadership? Can that leadership transcend ideology? The guy does show passion.
