Me and my bride walked by him after the 1993 game vs USC. He was standing outside of the locker room area and apparently talking with the parents of qb Rob Johnson based on the jerseys they were wearing.

We had beaten them 21-20. He appeared to be in decent spirits. My main take away at the time was that he was alarge man.

About 30 years ago I walked into the hotel bar where I was staying in Scottsdale, Az. I ordered a drink, and the guy sitting next to me said “Want some peanuts” and he handed me the dish. It was John Robinson, he’s been ok in my book ever since.

Had the famous line when asked why OJ carried the ball so many times, Robinson said, it's not heavy.
