The whole MAGA/GOP seems to be making a lot of noise about the SCOTUS getting involved right now in overturning those Jury (NYS) convictions. Jim Jordan and other diehards are making it a huge priority and Speaker Johnson is not letting anything else move forward in the House. Senate repubs re saying they won't do anything even looking like bi-partisan until their Felon soon-to-be-candidate is relieved of the felony burden.

Just curious as to what law/Constitutional grounds are they basing their efforts on? Does the SCOTUS have any basis to overturn a State Court Jury conviction, where is that spelled out in the Constitution? Are the boys from MAGA going down another rabbit hole in trying to save their savior? Will the words ad actions of the Earth 2 crowd succeed in what is a first-time legal strategy) please provide a precedent for the SCOTUS even contemplating such a course of action)?
