The idea of this 'holiday' is nonsense and insulting to say the least. Why have any celebration for something so utterly without class/meaning. The end of slavery was paid for with the blood of a lot of non-slaves who fought for a very noble cause. To use such a silly and stupid word to celebrate that is insulting and should be thrown on the trash heap of history If anything we should celebrate the Emancipation Proclamation not an embarrassing and dumb word.
