he received an email from Cael confirming that Suriano will wrestle at the BIG. I do not post here, ever, but just thought you might like to know this since it came "from the head man himself."

Solid gold.

in LionLaw's defense, it was a post made on this site's Lions Den board, which is a Premium Ticket board. Per Rivals' rules, you can not copy things posted on a Premium board and post them on a non-Premium board.
Thanks, Tom - guess I should not have shared the info here. Can alternative facts be premium info? I thought that, by naming the author, I would be ok with the "premium info" - if it was Ryan or Nate - would not have posted.

A very strict interpretation of the rules might cause you an issue. Generally, PT subscribers are given some leeway. When I saw the post my reaction was that in the context of the situation, the poster involved, etc., you were fine. My post was more to tell CowboyUp that you couldn't copy the post since it was on a PT board.

Tom, you could, right?

Im suprised it came in an email and not on the ride home on the plane.
Spyker was a little busy ...

Theoretically, yes, based on the situation. Practically, not too often.

In the past year, I did copy a post made on the Lions Den, and post it on the BWI McAndrew board. The post was made in the Lions Den to alert folks that a member of the community had unexpectedly passed away. A few months later a post appeared on the McAndrew board asking about that same poster. I could have simply summarized the info, but I concluded that it wasn't anything that needed to remain guarded, and that the PT post gave a better description of what had happened than any summary could, so I indicated that I was making an exception to the rules, and posted a copy of the Lions Den post.

In this situation, LionLaw's summary is sufficient. There really isn't anything more offered by the post(s) in question that he summarized.

At least people will stop lumping me with 21 Guns and Spyker now. Those guys are in full Baghdad Bob mode.

...when is CowboyUp61 gonna post the pic he took with Spyker after the match on Sunday ?... :)
Tried to find him pre-match, couldnt do it. I am beginning to think he is imaginary. Post match I took my whipped ass home, and since both kids are done wrestling for the season, had some pizza for the first time since October!

I always wondered how North Schuylkill's Cesari brothers were able to make weight given that the family had a sweet little pizza shop in Ashland.

Same goes for Johnson & Wales, the culinary school that fields a DIII wrestling program.

There was a McDonalds two blocks from my high school - we used to weigh-in early afternoon for weekday evening meets. Still remember the run to Mickey D's after weigh-ins - whole bunch of us would go and literally buy every burger on their rack.....fries, pies, etc....

We always had face to face weigh ins for duals, usually 2 hours. Not much time for junk food, so tried to eat healthy.

The best memories were state tournaments-Friday night weigh in option for those wrestling on Saturday. By the time finals rolled around, none of the finalists (except maybe the 98 lb and heavies) were within 15 lbs. And saturday night after finals was always Godfathers deep dish pizza. None of those around any more, but I sincerely doubt I could still eat one by myself, while seeing how much beer I could drink.

...back in the early 50's Coach Speidel always insisted the team drink hot beef bullion after weighin... he had a couple of gallons in two large Thermos's ... and then the team went to a meal of a small filet mignon, a baked potato and peas or string beans ... and a tossed salad...weighins were 5 hours before the match back then...

we always had weigh-in's after the JVs and didn't wrestle until the JV match was over... so, a few hours of 'wait'. Team food selection of Oranges, Bullion, hershey bar, and gatorade. Some folks brought other stuff in. Problem was what you did after that match and through the weekend (we wrestled mainly on Friday evenings) ... so we ate all night - McD's or elsewhere.. When you knew if your opponent stuffed themselves, then trying to get pipewrench on them was mandatory!

Cesari's also had a pizza stand at Knoebels, the local amusement park. Truth be told, the pizza was pretty much average.
