I mean, for the sake of fairness and consistency.
He was likely originally a political must hire, so there is that. I won't even blame the then AG for that. He likely had no choice. Also means he is likely not a Dem. like her.

I've often wondered why the Inquirer/Daily News and philly.com has been so interested and negative toward AG Kane. Could it be the connection between Ira Lubert and Lewis Katz(deceased owner of the newspapers, and his son who now runs said entities)?

I'm an R. I voted with some enthusiasm for Kane. I liked her and thought she would do a good job. Now, I'm very iffy but have not slammed the door shut.
That said, you cannot promote this guy. He was just suspended for his part in a major scandal. You can make a strong cast that he could have/should have been fired. Months later he gets a promotion.
In no other employment world that I've ever been a part of have I ever seen someone get a suspension and a promotion months apart. You serve your penance, work like hell, and in a couple years, maybe, MAYBE after things die down and people with long memories move on, MAYBE you're a contender again. Only in state employment do you go from the doghouse to the penthouse like this. It was ridiculous, crazy, tone-deaf and stupid.
It's also news. I hate the Inky, they are completely justified in publishing the story. If Kane needs to have her feet to the fire about how an on-the-job porndog gets promoted, well, that's the way it goes.
