Has anyone eaten at Herwig's Austrian Bistro? What do you think?

Place looks pretty cool and food looks authentic.

Thanks in advance!

PS - Looking forward to watching our boys take 8 of 10 from the black n gold.

It's fantastic food, especially if you like to eat pigs. The staff have a bit of a schtick, giving you grief if you don't clean your plate, but I never have that problem. BYOB, but they might ask for one. It's awesome, but only if you aren't easily offended.

They even have a couple different desserts featuring local bacon.

My wife and I really like it. Occasionally can overcook the food, but that’s very rare. Also... they have a menu board each day... they can, and usually do, run out of items on the board. And Make sure you at least attempt to pronounce what you’re ordering.

Hmmm, we drove by there last saturday. Going to Otto’s this saturday, it is my son’s birthday. Which is better, though beer selection versus byob might win the day.

Otto's is great too, but it's hard to compare the 2. Otto's menu is like 10x the size of Herwigs' between the wood-fired pizza, burgers, salads, etc. Herwig's is a family business that puts a lot of love into their work. Actually, the wife of one of the owners at Herwigs is a manager at Otto's....
