How much eligibility does he have?Return of the Mack: Alabama Safety King Mack Transfers Back to Penn State
After spending a year in Tuscaloosa, former Nittany Lion safety King Mack is on his way back to Happy Valley via transfepennstate.rivals.com
College football is so screwed up and tremendously interesting at the same time these days. How this dude came back is beyond me, but it is what it is. Hopefully he contributes at a high level. Is back. What a long strange trip.
Nice addition.
Completely agree. At the end of the day, players should do what’s best for their own situations. Still, you can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of leaving PSU for Bama, only to turn around a year later and say, “Nah, I think I’ll go back.”College football is so screwed up and tremendously interesting at the same time these days. His PSU BIO says he played all 13 games as a true freshman on special teams. So 2 years and a red shirt available. How much eligibility does he have?
In the words of Jack Buck, I can’t believe what I just saw.Is back. What a long strange trip.
Nice addition.
This is the opposite of screwed up.College football is so screwed up and tremendously interesting at the same time these days. How this dude came back is beyond me, but it is what it is. Hopefully he contributes at a high level.
It depends. I would disagree that a number if these kids know what is best for them. Some of these players transfer every year now looking for perfection that does not exist, and it ends up harming the player’s athletic and academic development. Conversely, for the most part our incoming transfers have worked out really well for both parties over the last 3 years. Hopefully it works out for Mack. This is the opposite of screwed up.
This is what a student athlete should be able to do.....What's best for him.
I did something I wasn't sure about, I tried to return home and find a situation that was better for me, It wasn't better for me and I didn't realize what I lost. I've found myself.....All before age 20.
Excellent.
Never judge a man's journey, it's his, not yours.
Who knows what's best for them?It depends. I would disagree that a number if these kids know what is best for them.
I know that transferring every year is likely detrimental to his development. You do too. Like I said, I hope it works out. But if he transfers a year from now I would not be surprised.Who knows what's best for them?
You?
Do you know anything about King Mack except that he has measurables that are similar to other D1 athletes?
I don't but apparently you know things about me too.I know that transferring every year is likely detrimental to his development. You do too. Like I said, I hope it works out. But if he transfers a year from now I would not be surprised.
