So many of these actors on the big screen, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Trenton Terrantino all come to mind, are such unaware leftists. They probably all have some sort of armed guard and protection but want to make is harder for the average citizen to protect themselves with a fire arm.
Now we have Kurt Russell. You know Snake Plisken? In an interview with some liberal reporter he was asked about gun control and Russell wasn't having any of it.
From the article listed:
Actor Kurt Russell got into a testy debate with Jeffrey Wells of Hollywood Elsewhere when a promotional interview for Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" turned to talk of guns.
When Wells called guns "a totem, a metaphor that disenfranchised white guys need" that make them "feel good about themselves," Russell was having none of it.
"If you think gun control is going to change the terrorists' point of view, I think you're, like, out of your mind," Russell said.
"The problem that we're having right now to turn it around … you may think you’ve got me worried about you’re gonna do? Dude, you’re about to find out what I’m gonna do, and that’s gonna worry you a lot more," Russell said.
"That will change the concept of gun culture, as you call it, to something [like] reality. Which is, if I’m a hockey team and I’ve got some guy bearing down on me as a goaltender, I’m not concerned about what he’s gonna do — I’m gonna make him concerned about what I’m gonna do … to stop him. That's when things change."
Good for him. It's refreshing seeing a Hollywood celebrity understanding what's going on for a change.
