Forget the cumulative impacts of the sanctions. Forget wins & losses. The team over the past two seasons did not improve from week to week. The same mistakes were made. Each press conference the same remarks were stated "we're working on it": Regardless of talent, or scholarship limits, smart Penn State players did not show improvement from week to week. The same mistakes, same inadequate attempts to find mismatches, same missed assignments occurred week to week versus any opponent. All of us 30 year+ season ticket holders weren't expecting great things, just improvement with the players we had. It's a matter of good coaching. Regardless of the number of scholarship players, just show improvement with what you got. I don't think we ever witnessed it.
