Hey all,

I haven't heard anything official on either player. But I wanted to give you all both my feel and opinion on both Stevens and Painter. I could be absolutely wrong, but I wanted to put myself out there for you all and give you the feeling I have.

First, Lamar Stevens, he has been the most confusing recruitment I have ever followed. He has changed his commit timetable four times now. I don't see him as a kid who loves the attention, but who was confused. He took time out of the college recruting to figure out the high school he wanted to attend, so he might be behind the 8ball. The feeling I have on him is that he will eventually end up at PSU. I think he liked his visit, but with Carr their I feel like that is extra incentive to go there. I don't know when he will commit, but my feeling is that PSU leads and will win out for Stevens. Stevens is a low post player and baseline romar, he is not a three his is a four.

Second, Dylan Painter, within the last two weeks his recruitment has taken a twist. It seems like a PSU/Nova battle, but now I am not sure. Painter has over 35-40 offers and is attractive at six foot ten. I said two months ago if I was advising him that I would wait till the spring and then commit. See what teams need a big man after the NBA early entries are figuried out. Personally, I don't think he is thrilled/overhwelmed with what Nova or PSU offer him. I think he might believe he is better, but his offers speak to his level right now. As a Nova fan, I am indifferent about Painter if we got him, fine, if not, then I would be fine as well. As a Penn State fan, I want to see him end up at PSU. Ultimately, this one is very close to call. So, I am not willing to say either way where he will go. I could easily see him taking his time and see what's out there. If he doesn't commit this week then I think this can be a long process. I do think Painter will end up at Nova or PSu, but don't be shocked if he takes his time and more visits.

In fact, if Steven's and Painter don't commit this week then Chambers still has some work to do.

These are my thoughts, please don't kill me if my feeling is incorrect. Recruting is crazy and these kids change their minds all the time. But from my time following these two prospects this is the feelings I get.
