Just another quick update on Associate HC Adam Fisher, his name is trending up for the Owls job as Karl Hobbs (Rutgers Assoc. HC) is officially out of the running. There is another candidate or two in the running for Temple, but sounds like the Owls admin is leaning towards hiring Fisher. Curious to see which assistants, if any he will bring with him to Temple. A decision is expected within the next 12-24 hours I'm told here.
As for the Rhoades side of things, it's all very quiet as he continues to decide whether or not to stay at VCU or return to his home state of Pennsylvania. A couple of factors here include his kids and family having already built a life in Virginia and obviously money. It sounds like PSU offered him the job, but VCU came back with a similar counter and now it's down to him to make a decision.
Another name that was a target and can be scratched off the list officially is Iowa State HC T. J. Otzelberger, although I'm told he turned the offer down relatively quickly and will stay with the Cyclones.
