Hearing that Penn State Assoc. HC Adam Fisher is a name to keep a close eye on for the job.
Fisher is a PSU alum (’06), worked under Jay Wright at Villanova as a graduate assistant, spent time in the ACC with Miami, all before returning to Penn State back in March of 2021 as associate head coach under Micah Shrewsberry. On top of that he’s known as a very solid recruiter.
One thing to watch out for is that his name has been mentioned by a couple of other programs this offseason as a head coaching candidate, so it will be interesting to see if Penn State decides to make the move to promote him or not. For the time being he is the name that is being mentioned the most as the next leader of the program.
