I have noticed that liberals, especially, are caught in a trap when dealing with Islam. Here is the problem. EVERYONE knows that most Muslims are not terrorists, yet they are preoccupied by convincing America of something we already know. Any time someone suggests that the Muslim community needs to be monitored closer as a source of terror they immediately point out that not all Muslims are terrorists. Thanks for pointing out the obvious! They also seem more interested in making sure Muslims aren't offended than they are in protecting against terrorism. Hell, they can't even say Islamic terrorism.
The funny thing is that liberals are obsessed by gay rights, abortion, feminism, and secularism. Islam is vehemently opposed to ALL of the liberal tenants. In fact, Muslims are only interested in minority rights until they become the majority. Look around the world for proof.
The biggest problem, however, is this. Liberals are quick to defend Islam but the reason why is that they don't want Muslims to feel ostracized. That, according to their own words, will promote terrorism and make it more likely that Muslims will take up arms against non-Muslims. I ask you this. What is it about Islam, specifically, that makes them so succeptible to becoming radicalized? NO other religion in the world is at risk of becoming extremists simply because they are offended or ostracized. Liberals constantly defend a religion that hates liberalism and they don't want criticism of Islam because it will make them want to blow you up. I argue that their position is suicidal.
