You're right. College football is a diversion, like any other form of entertainment, but it is entertainment. The really important things in life start with family and friends, and I am very sorry to hear you lost a friend. My sympathy.

I understand how you must feel. I learned late last year that one of my best friends from school committed suicide in late November, 2011.
