Well, for starters, I once attended a tail-gate that Beth Ostrosky had attended (It was her parents tailgate) but I missed her. She had just left.

And one of the male guests, did talk about her 'rib-reduction' procedure! Hubba-Hubba!

(Not sure if that is/was true) - Another PSU football players dad took me to the tailgate and mentioned it to me. No names please.

How about you?

Cool.... by happenstance, I grew-up on "The Hill" about a half-mile away from Beth Ostrosky's home in "The Forest." Unfortunately I didn't get to know her, as I would have literally been robbing the cradle as I was a junior in high school when she was born. lol

Are you from that neck of the woods, TheGLOV???

Tailgating? Did you rear-end her?

similar story, I once attended a tailgate that Elin Nordegren attended, but I too missed her. She had just slipped out. It was when she was dated Chris Cline (who died in a helicopter wreck this summer), Chris was a big Marshall supporter.
I attended one with Don Blankenship as well.

No sir.

Pittsburgh area.

Doug Ostrosky, used to use this line when he got sent in for playing time. He used it on whoever he was facing across the line:

He'd say: "I'm 2nd or 3rd team and if I'm in here and you are going up against me, you must really suck!" -True story!!

Just to get the guy off his game or to draw a penalty.

:eek::):):):D:):):):eek:

I suppose the most "famous" person I ever tail-gated with would be Tad Potter - part-owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins from 1971 until 1975. His family lived across "The Valley" from where I grew up. His son - Terry, was in my fraternity; which is how I gained admittance. They owned one of those "space-aged" GMC motorhomes and hosted great tail-gate parties.

I'm not sure who but they definitely hung with Randolph and Mortimer Duke. Rutgers game in '94, wet outside I think. My friend Chad and I pass this unbelievable tailgate with chef, etc only a few old couples. The nicest RV I've ever seen in person. They invited us over and it was unreal, steaks, beautiful marble inside of the RV, bottled beer, liquors. (No Bush Beer if recall). They were apparently big time Penn State Grads and Donors from what I do recollect but, unfortunately I don't recall much from those years, except my academic rigor and pursuits.

Met and got a picture with Kijana Carter's mom up at the MSU game in 2005. She was there with some fans from CBus and my late spouse somehow got us invited to visit their tailgate. Nice folks and a fun game to clinch the B1G title. Those metal bleachers at MSU make a hell of a lot of noise when you stomp your feet on them.

I may have the winner, at least as far as this board is concerned. At the Alumni tailgate before the game vs. Syracuse at Met Life in NJ , I exchanged pleasantries with Rodney Erickson.

Interesting - where is the Hill? I also grew up about 1/2 mile from Beth and we graduated together from FC in 90? Curious what our name for the Hill was? BTW - if you know the area I grew up on Wickford Drive.

Back at that ND game when Jerome Hayes abused Clausen all day, I had tailgated w/ one journalist named David Jones!

Yes, I know Wickford Drive - The O'Haras lived there (O'Hara Township). I had already moved away in 1981 during the Pittsburgh diasporia - which laid grounds for "Steeler Nation." "The Hill" (Orchard Hill Drive) was across from "Bing's Hill" which was where Wickford Drive was built over-looking what was the county work farm now developed as the RIDC industrial park. I used to date a girl that lived at the top of Wickford over-looking the high school - her dad was president of Gulf Oil Research & VP of Gulf Oil at the time.

Back then when there was real football being played in the WPIAL, "The Hill" was known locally for being the "rulers" locally, having athletes which included former Penn State and NFL players Leo & Steve Wisniewski, besides myself :)

Does drinking in the Nittany Lion Inn before a wrestling match count? If so, Bill Baldwin. Also in the NLI but before a different match, Dixie Chicks and Courtyard Hounds guitarist Martin Strayer.

A nice article on Martin Strayer support for wrestling in general and Penn State wrestling specifically.

Picture of Martin and his wife, Dixie Chick Emily Strayer, at Rec Hall. Sadly, Emily didn't make the trip the afternoon that I was drinking with Martin.

I know this really considered tailgating "with", but at this year's Blue White game Saquon walked right up to our tailgate and took a picture with the young teens in our group. We were kind of in a lot by ourselves close to the stadium. The kids still get giddy talking about it.

Billy Dicken’s parents. Just briefly on our way to the Purdue stadium in ‘97 maybe.

If parents count then I'll add Ryan Seacrest's father. Then again, this was when Seacrest's dad was a student at PSU, long before Ryan made his appearance on this planet.
