A few notable lineup items since we have a few minutes:
Freshman Cole Hults is playing alongside Erik Autio on a defensive pairing. Gadowsky said Thursday that he plans to mix and match as he looks for Vince Pedrie's replacement next to Autio, but Hults is another offensive-minded left-handed shot, so he seems like a natural fit there.
Evan Barratt, another freshman, is playing on Penn State's top forward line with Chase Berger and Andrew Sturtz. He's a real scoring talent, and it will be interesting to see how much they look to get him in a scoring groove early on.
Kevin Kerr is paired with Trevor Hamilton after he missed the Nittany Lions' postseason run with an injury. He's another name to watch here as Gadowsky tries to figure out what works on the blue line after the unexpected loss of Pedrie to the pros.
