Local Cadillac dealer has no cars to sell

Rental car companies sold off a lot of their stock when no one was traveling. Now they can't get new cars for the reasons mentioned in this thread.
Try buying furniture...... my god. Hold onto your couches. Nothing like waiting 3 months for delivery of a crappy couch for your 5 month temporary work assignment. I have worn the hell out of my beach chairs!
I just got my La-Z-boy recliner delivered last Friday. It was ordered the first week of November.
In a separate note, my Ford overlords are telling the sales department that new car stock should be fully replenished by June. If you pre ordered a new Bronco you'll know exactly how much faith to put in that statement.
my personal opinion is that it won't be until early 2022 when the supply chain completely rights itself. Some things might start to get more back to normal in early summer but at the same time, I think you will start to see other products disappear at the same time. Won't be until the summer building and buying season is done and winter hits that the supply chain both in USA and the world will start to fall back in line.
Just drove cross country from SW FL to the Bay Area. It was stunning to see the car dealerships we passed on the road were almost out of vehicles. Anywhere from about 10 to at most 50 vehicles on the lot and I would bet those left were used vehicles. Showrooms appeared empty as well. Good thing we are set for cars for awhile.
We ordered couches in February. We initially were told June for delivery. Now it's September.
We bought two recliners this week- but couldn't get the bar table we wanted and they couldn't even give us an estimate as to when it might be in stock.
Hopefully they’ll arrive in time to burn them during the football season.
