Folks we need a reality check. I am planning a trip with my Dad to see a game early (his bucket list) and to see marching band. The excitement surrounding this team is great, but lets look at reality....
Sobering Facts
1. PSU has 80 scholarship players right now, sanctions still affecting PSU.
2. STEP screwed the fans and some left permanently, so filling the stadium get harder each year.
3. Franklin has done amazing job of getting program back in order, but they are just beginning.
4. Despite new O, this team will be a little lucky to win 8-9 games.
5. The Beav is beautiful, but OLD, it needs an upgrade, (See SG post on Texas stadiums)
6. Talent is young and thin at key positions LB, QB and DL.
7. OL is still a work in progress, only on new OL this fall rest seniors or returning from last year.
8. PSU is middle of pack big ten team right now.
Optimistic Facts
1. PSU has one of the best RB in the country, another on bench
2. PSU has BEST fan base in country
3. O system has potential to repair some of the issue of past 3 years
4. New OL and O coaches are installing new systems that kids understand
5. Talent is interested in PSU and coming
6. PSU is planning on upgrade to facilities
