Yes, there were empty seats (considering the holiday), but the crowd was at its best. The announcing crew said they (the crowd) gained momentum in the second half. Maybe, but they were loud in the first half as well even though PSU trailed for much of the half. Second, great programs with legendary coaches ebbed for a period of time Texas (still to this day) and Alabama, after Bear Bryant, being notable examples. Franklin, in three years, has returned PSU football to glory in the footsteps of the greatest legend in collegiate football history.

The WE ARE chant in the 4th quarter was really loud.

Flipping between channels of the "other" game and Penn State's, I was getting cramps in my thumb. Watched the other game end, switched back to the Penn State game and the ROAR once the crowd knew the score was pretty loud across the TV.
