He was a good guy and great for PS. It's a sad day.

Lou Prato is one of the best things to ever happen to Penn State University and Pennsylvania. As an amateur historian, I cannot tell you how much he meant to me when I was a kid. His books on Nittany Lion football fueled a lifelong passion for the history of the best football team EVER.

I always loved his work on the 1911-12 Lions especially - the team led by Shorty Miller that beat Ohio State so bad they quit in the middle of the 4th quarter.
