Brown predicts UW based on PSU loss of Joe Moorehead, and new OC who he could barely pronounce name. he did not mention UW losing their OC.

ESPNU radio guys discussing game say to watch for the following keys to game (did not predict winner just commentary):

  • very close and even game - stating UW is actually the most complete team in the PAC12, so PSU got the toughest draw for BIG teams.
  • ST play and field position - watch the yardage after exchanges = who is winning that game.
  • moving the chains = who is doing the better job moving the chains consistently. team that is more inconsistent moving the ball forward will be in more trouble. game will not be won by a few big plays per their view even though both teams have a ton of big plays.
  • who is winning the battle at the LOS on both sides. both teams have defenses that get negative plays = watch who is getting more of these on each side.
  • stars MIA = who is controlling the stars from the other team. both teams loaded with stars so watch who are MIA. a little focus on Gesicki vs UW safeties/LBs as a key matchup.
  • and the usual who is avoiding penalties an TO's which is true in every game.

A reasonable prediction. PSU hasn’t fared well against teams that can throw down the middle.

UW can certainly win the game, but Mack Brown being on TV is literally a crime. He makes Matt Millen look reasonable.

So the team that's winning the field position battle has a good chance to win????

wow, that's Earth shattering news
