Just below is my report on the 4A championship game between Erie Cathedral Prep and Philadelphia Imhotep Charter. Then I'll report on the 5A championship game between Harrisburg and Warminster Archbishop Wood and finally I'll list several additional players from the Pa. class 2019 that deserve special mention.

In the 4A state championship game this evening between Philadelphia Imhotep Charter and Erie Cathedral Prep there are four of the top 15 prospects in Pa.'s class of 2018 and most likely one of the top five prospects in Pa's class of 2019.

Two of the top 15 prospects in Pa.'s class of 2018 at Erie Cathedral Prep are LB Matt Bauer [6-2, 220] and OT Frederick "Juice" Scruggs [6-3, 275]. Both Bauer and Scruggs have verbal scholarship offers from Penn State, but Bauer has already committed to Notre Dame. Scruggs has offers from Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan State, plus six or seven other Division 1 schools.

The two possible 4-star prospects in the Pa. class of 2018 at Philadelphia Imhotep Charter are FS/SS Isheem Young [5-11, 195] and OT Justin Johnson [6-7, 335]. Young already has an offer from Penn State and lists offers from FSU, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, North Carolina and 10 other top 25 college programs. Young was expected to play his junior year at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., but changed his mind just before the start of the 2016 season. Many rate Young one of the top three FS prospects in the country for the class of 2018. Young has already made two unofficial visits to Penn State. Johnson also lists more than 10 D-1offers, but at this point has not been offered by Penn State.

I, personally believe that Pa. class of 2019 DE Omar Speights [6-2 1/2, 230] at Philadelphia Imhotep Charter will end up being rated one of the top five prospects in Pa's class of 2019. Speights already lists five D-1 offers and is very closely being scouted by the Penn State coaching staff. Don't be surprised if Penn State does offer Speights in the very near future.

In the 5A championship game between Harrisburg and Archbishop Wood the top names from the class of 2018 were WR Shaquon Anderson-Butts and DE/RB Micah Parsons from Harrisburg and TE/DE Kyle Pitts from Archbishop Wood. Parsons is already verbally committed to Penn State and Anderson-Butts and Pitts have offers from Penn State. Parsons, Anderson-Butts and Pitts are all top ten prospects in Pa's class of 2018.

Now, I want to mention several members of Pa's class of 2019 that aren't in the state championship games that have really caught my attention. They are: OL Hayden Knighton [6-4, 285] from Philadelphia Penn Charter, RB Treyson Potts [5-10, 185] from Williamsport, TE/DE Asim Richards [6-4, 245] from the Haverford School and DE Topher Taylor [6-6, 225] from New Hope New Hope-Solebury.

Knighton's brother is the starting center at Miami [Fla.] and in my opinion Potts is the best D-1 prospect and running back to emerge from Willamsport since former Penn State RB/DB Gary Brown.

Right now I believe Knighton, Potts, Richards and Taylor have the chance to be top 10 players in Pa's class of 2019.
