Great idea. Tweet that baby...We need fix big time !!!!Sweet news! Since Mark will be there, he might as well fill Fix in on what a great place Happy Valley is...
A review afterwards would be nice...great that you can attend.Another reason why being a short train ride (2 or 3 stops depending on the train for me) from New York Penn Station has been such a boon for a college wrestling fan in 2016. I'll be there. Last year was a blast.

Also saw this gem. "Expert push out."
LOVE IT TIKK10... Where is my 1000 LIKE BUTTON... when I need it?I took a lot of photos, won't get them onto Flickr until tomorrow or this weekend, but will dump a few I took of Hall here.
Great photos Tikk10. You got some great snaps. Phenomenal job... many times over. Mark Hall is rock solid and has pythons wrapped around anaconda's for arms... and he just graduated from high school. Wow.
I couldn't focus and high five him at the same time (that's my hand on the left). He's a class act though, 100% steel-eyed focus before the match, enjoying the fans after.
Oh, man Tikk10 had a much better spot than I. The setup this year was not conducive to live viewing or at least was not as good as last year. I struggled to see the mat most of the time and relied on the huge video screen off 7th Avenue to follow the action a good 1/2 of the time.
Good job by the USA wrestlers. Fix looks like a future 141 pounder as a true freshman, unless he is a Cowboy, in which case he will be a 125. McKee looked less impressive, but still did what he had to to pull it out. The reversal off the exposure was sweet. Hall will be very, very difficult to score against in folkstyle. Great scrambler and very composed on the mat. Valencia looked like he hadn't done much training - he was gassing in the first half. Hard to make a judgment about him.
Cox was impressive. He certainly isn't going to get outsized at this weight. Burroughs was Burroughs.
It is a fun event and the wrestling was pretty wide open, but I hope they move it back up the street where they have bleachers/steps to view the action. They could charge people to sit in the bleachers and raise a lot of money for a good cause.
PS - The USA women were very good and the action was excellent.
This is the third one I've been to so I know to get there early for a spot on the rail. Downside to that plan is walking again after standing in the same spot for 5 hours. Brutal

I have to start hitting people up for photog credentials. You're right that last year's was better up by 47th st. Today was the same place they did it in 2014. Agreed with all your takes, though I was more impressed by McKee than I expected to be.Yeah, I don't know who's taking Hall down in college either. He's kind of at the same point Nolf is, where he lets guys in on his legs so he doesn't get bored. It's nuts what Cox has been able to do with zero FS and int'l experience. One of the best things about Cox's emergence is that maybe we'll stop hearing about how we need to scrap Folk.
I swear Hall looks like a mix of DT and Ruth style wise. The way he turned the tables on the Iranian in a few of those positions was insane.

My only question is what will Hall even work on for 2 years if he defers enrollment and then takes a shirt? The dude is more than ready to destroy Collegiates right now. I know he has bigger plans, but at what point will BaybeeMarky just get bored and put on the Blue and White.
We know Cael knows wrestling. If only he could coach it!

The only problem with Hall I could foresee would be if JB retired and Hall takes over and has immediate success. He is already on record on how much more he loves freestyle than folk. Why not do it full time? I think his eye is not only being the best American ever but the best ever. I'm not trolling but the grey shirt makes a statement, especially when you all are right...he could come right in and win it. Part me wishes for this scenario but the overall fan doesn't...I want to see if another guy can run the gauntlet and go undefeated. Good for the college sport.
Awesome pics tikk10. Can't get enough. You took so many great shots. Here's a link to more Beat the Streets photos I took, including a bunch more of Hall.
