Looks like an awesome kid with a great family. I look forward to see him in blue and white.Finals video:
rumor has it that Hall wore that shirt on the arena floor.
Hopefully JRob took the scene in.
Wow, he looked like Nolf in that match (Playing with his food).Finals video:
Now that's a post championship celebration, as opposed to Chad Red. I'm convinced Cael wants not only talent, but kids of high character.
I was a fan when I watched an interview of him a while ago. He is talented, articulate, humble and classy. He has it all!One of the first questions he asked about MN guys, as he was scouting: "Would he be a good teammate with Hall? Is he a pretty good kid?"
Outstanding person. Very humble which gets a lot of respect !Finals video:
You can't help but draw that conclusion, after watching how Cael's wrestlers handle themselves. Now that's a post championship celebration, as opposed to Chad Red. I'm convinced Cael wants not only talent, but kids of high character.
Finals video:
Easy Ed, David Taylor, Quentin Wright, Frank Molinaro, Morgan McIntosh, Nico, Jason Nolf, Bo Nickal, Jordan Conaway... who when Cael was asked to describe his seniors, said at a recent post match interview... "He's the kind of kid you'd want dating your daughter". Humble, directed, easy going, intelligent, very focused athletes who you'd want in your family also.
Quentin Wright spent 20 minutes chatting me up at an awards banquet as I wore his National Championship ring... at his insistence. Smiling the entire 20 minute conversation and I couldn't thank him enough as he thanked me... for the conversation. Frank Molinaro telling me of his plans post college after he had won a National title that meant so much to him. Sharing his future so openly with the biggest of smiles on his face.
Mark Hall was genuinely kissed and deeply embraced by the entire contingent of his family and friends that were in the arena to watch his excellence. The young man in the black cap. How much did it mean to him?? His words spoken into Mark's ear... still resonating in mine. What a feel good feeling with each warm embrace.
Cael helps create world class kids and it certainly is the type of humble kid that Cael wants on his team. It resonates through Cael's entire line up. The concept of we are all one. Family that wins on the mat together also plays dodge ball together. Win or lose on the dodge ball court... they are all one... off of it.
When you have your superstar, Jason Nolf stating he's just grateful for what he has. And you hear those words echoed from Cael in interviews... the buy-in isn't so hard to see... and witness, year after year. The level of success on and off the mat from Penn State wrestlers coincides with the teachings of it's leader.

Calm down, greatest person you've ever meet?
Don't forget. Cael is a shameless recruiter!Sure. But, I bet most of the Iowa fans were really shocked. They admit that Cael can recruit, but only a few realize he can coach.

Not yelling at all but those who know him, Wow the guy is simply unreal. Makes wrestlers and fans love the sport and is great Coaching up our guys in big matches. His teaching tactics on positive reinforcement is outstanding. We get it.....no reason to yell.
I know that positive reinforcement is at the core of Cael's beliefs of being successful. I raise my son with the same never ending positive reinforcement and it has paid off with incredible dividends. I see Cael as a person I'd want raising my own student athlete (young adult) and I can see why parent's entrust their young men with him.Not yelling at all but those who know him, Wow the guy is simply unreal. Doesn't get out much...lolCalm down, greatest person you've ever meet?
Trust me or just ask Bo. He will learn a lot in our room. Hate to say it but he will be taking his lumps next year. After that look out !Congrats you got a great person in Mark Hall don't know in the rest of my life time ever see again a kid this good in high school and with the attitude he has. Have to give his parents the credit for rasing such a fine young man and being able to afford to take him all over to wrestle. MY gosh he has been doing this for over 15 years. Don't know what coach Cal or any coach can do or teach this young man just more or less guide him I guess. He will go down as one of the best in college history if no injuries or sickness. Wish him the best.
