Halperin was a WaPo guy and a regular on Morning Joe, who had been a lefty for his entire career. He got "metooed" along the way. Regardless, here he says that he used to just say that things look bad for the Dems. He is now saying that they are "dire". Basically, the old playbook is not only not working but working against them. The other guy, don't know his name, the Dem advocate, says that the rubber will meet the road on Trump performance. I get where he's coming from but lack of performance by Trump will still have to be paired with some kind of Dem message.
