Match Video from Penn State vs Stanford

Forget face mushing - that was body mushing
Gulibon got in a good face mush at the end. Good thing Foley is riding motorcycles in South America.

First chance I got to see the 165 lb bout. If there is such a thing as a good 18-12 loss, that was it. Gotta like the way Joseph kept attacking and keeping the pressure on. If Joseph would have been able to escape quicker in the 3rd period and kept applying pressure, it could have gotten real interesting, as Subjeck was pretty gassed at the end of the 2nd (to be fair, Joseph looked kind of gassed as well at that point). That and being awarded the four back points that it appeared were warranted for Joseph ... Still, I suspect this was a very educational loss for Cenzo.

I get a lot of great info from this board. But you Annie... you give us the good stuff! Keep up the great work!

Hey Annieat285 this is a spectacular contribution. As a parent of a child with severe challenges I rarely get to see things in real time. How thrilled was I to see this cool format for watching the matches. Great effort!

Agree with the Cortez comment, I seem to recall reading somewhere some concern with his ability to generate bonus points. Think he answered that, love the way he goes after the pins
Time will tell how he fares against better competition. It'll be fun watching his continued development.

Cortez had a good weekend. In addition, he seems to connect with the crowd, as he's more demonstrative than most PSU wrestlers after a win.

Things can always change, but here are some of the tougher matches he's likely to face (using FloWrestling's rankings from this week):

11/20 (Keystone Classic) - no brackets yet; #9 Dom Forys (Pitt) and Caleb Richardson (Penn -- not ranked by Flo, but in the top 20 of other rankings) are in the Classic

12/4 - #17 Scott Parker (Lehigh)

12/18 (Reno TOC) - no brackets yet; #7 Kaid Brock (Ok. St.), #12 Drew Templeman (Wyoming), and #20 Austin Eicher (MSU) are likely to be there

1/8 - #4 Eric Montoya (Nebraska)

1/13 - #13 Tyson Dippery (Rutgers)

1/20 - #1 Cory Clark (Iowa)

2/3 - #2 Nathan Tomasello (Ohio State)

2/10 - #3 Zane Richards (Illinois)

2/12 - #14 Tyler Goodwin (Maryland)

Will be interesting to see how he does against that gauntlet. So far, the results have been very promising.
