Update: Jets will hire Adam Gase
Looks like it was neck and neck between Rhule and Gase for the job but he will stay at Baylor

Hearing in my circles that Baylor head coach and Penn State letterman Matt Rhule could receive an offer from the Jets today and will accept.
Spoke to some contacts at Baylor who said Rhule has been oddly quiet since the bowl game win. They’ve known he was a temporary solution and have been expecting him to entertain offers. If you’ve never been to Waco, TX it is not hard to see why someone youngish would only stay there for a short period of time.
Will be interesting to see if this happens or not. I think he’s a rising star in the coaching ranks. If he takes the Jets job and Franklin were to leave one day I would assume he would be target number one for Sandy.
Let’s see what happens.
