MBB: 4* '22 big announcing tomorrow

Kebba Nije. He took an OV last weekend and his only CB on 247 is leaning PSU (confidence level of 5). He is down to Butler and PSU, it sounds like.

He will be announcing at noon tomorrow. Things are looking good, but let's hope!


Oweh will put our class to #8, add him AND Oweh (announcing 9/24, but 3 or 4 CBs saying PSU) and we are even higher.

It's looking like Duke or UK. Unfortunately he never took an OV to PSU. I know that he is from Bellefonte, his mom, etc... but taking an OV to the school that you commit to seems like one of those things that you do, even if you already know the school very well.

Our class can still be quite good without him, at least.

Yeah, I can’t imagine anyone committing without an OV.

Otega Oweh looks like pretty much a done deal (all of the CBs are pointing to him, with high confidence). After Lively, he is the highest-rated recruit that we are after (2nd highest since at least 1999).

Add Njie to that list as a top 100, 4* big and you have a very nice class being filled in with Jameel Brown (4*), Evan Mahaffey (High-3* - seems like a player, he is the type of kid that would be near, or on top, of our previous classes. For this one though, he is the 4th-best rated), and Kanye (nearing the top-200, is supposedly pretty underrated... had a very good Peach Fest, as did Oweh).

I will be interested who else we add to this class beyond those two.

Wow - what an eye opening stat! According to 247, Kanye Clary (our lowest-rated recruit of possibly a 5-man class in a week) is our highest-rated recruit since 2018 (Dread, Jones).
