Barret got it as a "career achievement award". Trace bringing home 2nd honestly tells me he is the best in the B1G
I'd pick McSorley...despite having 500 passing yards more than JT, led the Big Ten in passing efficiency (10 points higher than Barrett), and more total yards.
Look at their performance against equal competition (i.e. Conference games)This conference is such a pathetic joke....
More of the same...get used to it....despite having 500 passing yards more than JT, led the Big Ten in passing efficiency (10 points higher than Barrett), and more total yards.
Umm exactly. He won it because he earned it. he didn't this year
Actually I'd pick McSorley. I don't know who McSorely plays for.I'd pick McSorely

The Indiana QB was better than Barrett - Trace was better than all of them - funny to see OSU and UM getting all the awards as if we have no good players or anyone else in the conference - typical.
My position is unchanged. McSorley shouldn't be starting, and Franklin is on the hot seat.
The thing about sports is you never know. Look at the Cowboys QB position. We could be in the same situation - maybe even better - if Trace lost the job to Stevens. I'm obviously happy w/ the decision at this point though. My position is unchanged. McSorley shouldn't be starting, and Franklin is on the hot seat.
Didn't know it was first team all warrior...I thought it was QB.Barrett is a warrior. I'm ok with it
"Process"?Why do the conferences use ALL games to decide the All-Conference awards? I know, rhetorical question.
But as was pointed out, the o$u QB scores several TD's against BG which means nothing in conference play.
I just think it is a dumb process.
OL
"Warriors" don't shrink up like a nut-sack in an ice bath in most of their big games.Barrett is a warrior. I'm ok with it
Have they named All Big Ten tight end? Expect it to go to Butt despite Gesicki having 100 more yards receiving.

"Warrior"? You've been listening to Kirky Herbstreit too much - - - and thinking he's not a complete buffoon and a shill[/3QUOTE]
Hey, he lugs the tomato several times a game and delivers. Mac would be my choice as well, but im not going to get all bothered about it.
To recap the events of the evening of October 23, 2016 in Happy Valley, let's set the stage:
Undefeated Ohio State suddenly trails by 3 points to upstart PSU after a blocked FG is returned for a TD
But there's more than 4 minutes to go, and they have all their timeouts
They're 89 yards away
A Touchdown will win, a FG will tie and they have a good kicker
It's the All-Conference QB at the helm in the clutch
Results -- 10 plays, 12 yards total, turned over on downs
The All-Conference QB fails to run or pass effectively
Game over
Barrett seemed not quite himself this year. Maybe it's nagging injuries, a young OL and loss of a lot of talent on the offensive side. I think he was gracious in defeat at the Beav. Maybe it was a career achievement award thing.
I would bet Trace is more concerned with winning games than awards.
