The Haters have gone off the deep end. It is full blown melt down mode! How bad? There is actually a thread, on the TOP of the page, entitled "Eye Pokes", in which one of the haters has a problem with an eye poke, being called an injury timeout, and allowing for the opposing wrestler to choose the down position.

You cannot make this up. The Mat, right about this time of year, after we win, is pure, solid, comedy gold.

Also, now showing on TheMat, a thread entitled "Zain Can be Had".

Solid gold, get over there because it's SHOWTIME on the mat, lmao.

If this is the post Vak started, that thread was started a while ago. To sum up most of the comments: Zain can be had, but they expect Zain to win. Bizarre.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA

JAMMENZ JUST POSTED A PIC OF SURIANO POKING LAMBERT IN THE EYE, AND THE EYE POKE THREAD IS AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE!

cjc007 on the scene in that thread. Another Gableite who can't handle the new reality.

That guy is pathetic and always quick to bring up JS.

Who Cares????????????

If you don't like that board, then don't go there. If you insist on going there, then please don't tell us about the experience.

I am enjoying PSU's performance at this year's NCAAs. If others are not, that's their problem.

You all had great performance, congrats. 21: you are a fool. You make this board tough to visit. I completely understand that view, if one guy pokes another guys eyes and he has to stop it seems reasonable to not give that guy an advantage. Not crazy and not tread starting worthy.

What tread do you recommend then?
In the United States, tire tread depth is measured in 32nds of an inch. New tires typically come with 10/32” or 11/32” tread depths, and some truck, SUV and winter tires may have deeper tread depths than other models. The U.S. Department of Transportation recommends replacing tires when they reach 2/32”, and many states legally require tires to be replaced at this depth.

The idea of the penny test is to check whether you’ve hit the 2/32” threshold. Here’s how it works:

  1. Place a penny between the tread ribs on your tire. A “rib” refers to the raised portion of tread that spans the circumference of your tire. Tire tread is composed of several ribs.
  2. Turn the penny so that Lincoln’s head points down into the tread.
  3. See if the top of his head disappears between the ribs. If it does, your tread is still above 2/32” , If you can see his entire head, it may be time to replace the tire because your tread is no longer deep enough.

If you are going to start a tread, start with this information.

Yep, I had a typo, excuse me. The point was it's not a crazy view to have. The point of the rule is to not be able to use injury as an excuse to get out of bad spot, but eye poke in neutral when takedown was not imminent is not that case. I get that it has to be umbrella rule, but for someone to have that view is not crazy.

Yes, it IS crazy, because there are about a dozen different things that can happen to cause an injury timeout, and one of them isn't inherently difficult than the other. Existentially, they don't have any clear separation. The only reason it was brought up, was because it happened in a match, that involved a Penn State wrestler. You think if that happened in the first round between, say, Akins of Buffalo and Russell of Edinboro, that anyone would give a shit?

Hell no.

Didn't Akins have suriano in first round?

I was using that match as a fictional example, not literal. Look, it is certainly WORTH looking at, but not on the high priority of rule changes that need made, come on now. Nevills never thought to himself, "All I gotta do now is poke Kasper in the eyes and I'll get a free injury timeout and pick up an easy escape"

Not saying it was on purpose, but it is something that can be discussed. Its not a crazy idea.
