I know tomorrow is signing day - woohoo!!! We are also tracking PSU air transportation like Santa on December 24th, but we have a NY6 bowl game coming up soon.
So I looked at Memphis, saw them play on TV twice this year. Decent team, fundamentally sound, excellent scheme offensively, solid in special teams - although their coverage units are suspect - watch for Hamler to bust a punt or KO return.
Recruiting-wise, they have a total of 4, YES that is FOUR! The alternative numerical number that I scream every chance I tee-up a golf ball (another topic). They have four 4-star players going back to 2016 recruiting class. One from 2016, three from 2018 and that is it.
They have rankings of 76, 64, 72, and 81 according to Rivals - I may be off a few, but think that is correct. My point? They play much better than their recruiting rankings. I think they also only have a total of around 30 three-star kids during that time.
Should be a fun game for their newly promoted head coach (former OC). Let's be 11-2 and a Top 10 ranking.
