In case anyone wanted to catch up on old Mich-OSU games, BTN programming for the next 2 days is 90% old games.

I'll pass.

I'll take Michigan and the points but to be honest I don't know what to think.

Michigan totally steamrolled PSU. Franklin blamed small DL but Maryland and Illinois had no problem hanging in with Michigan. Illinois should have beat Michigan except Bielema turtled up at the end.

OSU has looked vulnerable. PSU was in good position with 9 minutes to play and did their annual 4th quarter collapse. A beaten up Maryland team gave OSU all they could handle last week.

I wish they could both lose but that's not happening.

Nah, there's no tunnel at OSU. Rumbles are reserved for the piss and blue stadium
Could still have one just so Mich can stay on top of their game. OSU might want one to show they can do Mich one better.

So, BTN programming is the same as about 300 other days of the year.
Sad, but true.

Honestly, does anyone actually watch the big ten network, (excluding the 1-2 games a year when Penn State is on)?

I have pretty much no interest in the rest of the Big Ten. Outside of Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State, the rest of the conference is pretty poor- mostly ACC level games.

Yeah, applying the transitive property to teams based on playing similar teams is useless as it all depends on matchups.

I will say this though. The one team nobody wants to play is Maryland. That team is either hot or cold and it all revolves around their offense. They can get blown out, or on the other side, give some of the top teams all they can handle

If I’m flipping by and see a PSU story or game, I will watch.

I’m so sick of hearing about this game. This is a big 10 brass dream week, but it seems to have started 2 months ago.

Wow, what a rivalry - duhO$U is 18-3 in the last 21 meetings and scUM hasn't beaten duhO$U @TheShoe in 22 years!

Given those numbers, you'd have to have a death-wish to bet scUM in this game. duhO$U giving that many points feels like a "trap bet".

Same here. If I see some PSU rerun as I flip by I’ll watch but that’s totally by chance.

I just looked up Saturdays BTN schedule. We start off with Maryland (6-5) vs Rutgers (4-7) at noon. That game will, no doubt, be squeezed in between constant reports from Columbus. I’d bet those game announcers spend almost as much time talking about OSU/ Michigan as they do the Rutgers/Maryland game in front of them.

That’s followed by the big game everyone, (with nothing better to do in western central Indiana), has been waiting for- Indiana (4-7) vs Purdue (7-4) at 3:30.

The rest of the day will be dedicated to the game in Columbus. They may not even mention any other games that were played that day. ;)

If Corum and Edwards can play the whole game UM has real shot at an upset, but if neither play OSU will roll.

I don’t think this Ohio State team is as good as many from years past. They are very inconsistent. Having said that not overly impressed with McCarthy either.
Agree but I just read on Eleven Warriors that the new OSU defense (under Nowles) is designed to stop the run - and keep the QB in the pocket - as they've only given up 1100+ yards rushing the whole year. Their LBs are really active - last year they were non-existent.

I have to believe McCarthy will be a huge factor in this game - one way or the other. Ohio Stadium will be bonkers and McCarthy will have to be under control from the start

The line is a complete "trap" line - scUM hasn't won @TheShoe since 2000 and is 3-18 overall against duhO$U since they last won @TheShoe. The average margin of victory for duhO$U during this win streak @TheShoe is 15 points (37-22). This is why the betting line is very wide - no way I would touch scUM @TheShoe, but again the line is pretty wide - so don't really like the line either way, but forced to bet, I'd take duhO$U given those numbers (which is why I say it feels like a "trap bet" on the scUM side).

Every single year they overhype this game. This is the first year in quite some time the game is deserving of the hype. Still, the overhype from previous years make me not want to buy into it, but I will, simply because of their records/rankings.

OSU has played the same Terrible schedule as the rest of the BIG 10. Stats mean nothing.

No Corum, fast track, no game…another blowout likely.

O$U was not motivated against MD. They will play better. I don't see scUM winning.

Michigan rolls over the Illini if Corum doesn't go out.

We wasted a good opportunity vs Michigan. Franklin blamed the DL size, but we lined up horribly on almost every play. Our LBs and Ss also had a terrible day filling gaps and tackling. Diaz also called a game that looked like we thought McCarthy was going to pass a bunch. I dunno, they were better and we were worse if that makes sense.

Yeah I have wondered why they beat us down so badly. You gotta think if we played again on a neutral field the game would be within a TD. We have improved and I think mostly on D.
