This is definitely an article from a very conservative standpoint on global warming/climate change, but I don't know that the original poster's point was much other than the final sentence of the article.

Even with more positive outcomes with the NCAA and C/S/S trials, I wouldn't expect the cheap shots to stop completely. Unfortunately, the perfect storm of few honorable players, major milestones being out of sequence (including Freeh and the NCAA) or significantly delayed (C/S/S), and inference ('After talking to coach,...') inflated to fact have allowed such short hollow references to become easy crutches to boost visibility, egos. or self-importance. I agree with you for the most part. I did have one conversation with someone after the Happy Valley movie came out where I mentioned additional facts that countered the movie's message. After agreeing with me, she mentioned she was an attorney with audit experience in the social services area. As I age, I try not to give idiots too much of my time or energy, especially cowardly educated idiots that should think and do otherwise.

I simply ask them "what should Joe have done?" and then point out the policies and illegalities of him being involved. I'm confused. So the PA Republican Party's Corruption/Junta Machine was put into action to protect Penn State and Michael Mann from facing potential consequences related to research that the party is ideologically opposed to, but at the same time put into action to put all the blame on Penn State for Sandusky? Wouldn't it have been a heck of a lot easier for the Corruption Machine to just let the hammer drop on Penn State for the Mann issue - which would also conveniently (for the GOP) serve as a means to attack global warming proponents?

Tim Ball and John O'Sullivan are known liars and are being paid by the Oil and Gas industry. Rather than investigate the allegations at PSU (which had a BOT which was POLITICALLY BEHOLDING, SERVILE TO and CREATED BY the corrupt MontCo-Hershey GOP Political Junta & Crime Syndicate - the same organization that owned & controlled Corrupt "Lawyer-turned-Politician" Corbutt), and create liabilities that did not go into the corrupt's coffers, instead The Corrupt Political Junta & Crime Syndicate INSTALLED Cynthia Baldwin to act as "The Fixer" and create a sham "Internal Investigation Report" whitewash cover-up that the AG then took lock-stock-&-barrel and put their imprimatur on it!

Then they created a different kind of FALSE NARRATIVE tyrannous "cover-up", foil and scapegoat routine in the Sandusky matter that shifted responsibility to PSU and made sure the millions upon millions of dollars in sham payments went primarily to corrupt LAWYERS politically-allied with the "MontCo-Hershey Corruption Machine".....

BTW, kind of neat how the Corrupt's Plant "The Fixer", Cynthia Baldwin, was deeply involved in how each INVESTIGATION of PSU worked in regards to both Climate-Gate and the "V1, Aaron Fisher DPW-Initiated TSM Investigation at CMHS", but in each case, including the latter Investigation where PSU was ABSURDLY held to be responsible, the Executive Committee of PSU's BOT (who had bought and held the Corrupt MontCo-Hershey GOP Junta & Crime Machine "Insurance Policy" against AG criminal prosecution) and the parties actually holding the FIDUCIARY LEGAL OBLIGATION for the running of PSU - and who were the ACTUAL ENABLERS and ABBETORS of Sandusky, were never held responsible!!! Instead, the Corruption Machine said the PSU Football Team and Football Coach were the ones responsible for giving TSM Land in the Spring 2002 (praising Sandusky and TSM in the Official BOT Memo that was sent out via Press Release announcing the deeding of PSU Land to The Second Mile so Sandusky could build the "Campus Headquarters" adjoining PSU's Campus he always dreamed of!!!), responsible for granting Sandusky the keys to the kingdom in 1999 via "Emeritus Status" & access for his charity, etc... (they blamed Paterno DESPITE Paterno having notes from a meeting with these pricks where he said he was AGAINST GIVING SANDUSKY & HIS CHARITY ACCESS due to liability concerns!!! Of course these arrogant pieces of garbage and scumbags IGNORED JVP and then turned around and used him as a fall guy and threw Football under the bus when he was proven right regarding providing access for Sandusky and his "Personal Chairty" TSM -- the mark of the true utter scumbags that these douche-bag low-lifes truly are!!!).

I must be some kind of exception. I continue to have nothing but positive experiences with folks when discussing Paterno and Penn State. And I'm not exactly in the most Penn State friendly region. Granted, 90% of the people I've discussed it with are attorneys, so perhaps they're more accustomed to seeing past media narratives and recognizing proper culpability.

I also have had nothing but positive conversation concerning Penn State and JoePa. Every person I have ever spoken to about Paterno had nothing but good things to say and most felt he was completely railroaded. I live in deep SEC country

You are an exception or I am. I get the same negative conversations where ever I go. Damage done by Board appears total and complete. Most people I am exposed to are only willing to accept the media's interpretation of "facts".
