Sekra reported that Weiss screwed up on several fronts. First, he was just doing the annual wire transfers to B2G Referines for their end of season bonuses but selected the wrong account. Secondly, given he was drunk at the time he thought he was being funny when he set up a wire transfer for NIL from a Michigan State Booster account who later tipped off the police.

The real joke here is that the explanation above actually sounds plausible.

It hasn't helped although I think Harbaugh and his agent miscalculated how much NFL teams think he is a schmuck. He can't overcome that when he speaks with them because he is not vastly better than other candidates so it becomes a key factor. They probably also ask SF Niners people who had to deal with him and the answer is run the other direction as fast as you can.
