Well it ain’t truly over until they sign but I really wasn’t too surprised by this since I was confident they would be impressed by Drayton and his record of success once they met him. I also recall reading in the past that Franklin has several coaches involved in a kid’s recruitment rather than just one the wisdom of which seems to be confirmed by Spell’s comments.
Drayton is a stud coach. IMO we better hope he stays. When it comes to recruits in our traditional footprint IMO and when talking top talent, he will turn out to be a more consistent recruiter than Seider. I hope he can also get into that Tide Water area; I would pair him with Hagans when recruiting VA.
One can dream but I don’t think we are going to see ‘another Barkley’ for a long time, if ever
