Mills's run against Ohio State is one of my favorite Penn State plays. And yours?

Let me know. That was a great moment. Can't wait for tomorrow night. It's just the best. I'll be wearing a Godwin Number 12 Jersey just checked the closet to see the number.

Touchdown Warner.

True freshman gets in game against Buttgers late in first half when team was sluggish to start the game. I believe an 11 yard TD, cutting up through the middle and handing the ball to the official before anyone knew he was even in the game.....

Gerrity's TD

Dozier had some sweet runs in the first half as a true frosh against Bama

How about the Lavar Leap?

What about Ennis running over and through the USC AA Safety on his way for a long TD in a kickoff classic? Planted the over rated dude like a Spring geranium....

D. Perry's INT to seal a big comeback win against an over rated ND team (was ND #1 at that time?)

Mark Robinson's 2nd half Interception vs Marino in the 1981 48-14 game. Ran it right up the middle, right at Marino who just watched him go by. Typical no-heart Pitt performance.

Bruce Clark knocking the Rutgers QB out of the back of the end zone on a brutal sack.

Rogers Alexander stopping Pinkett short of the sticks on a 4th down play to seal the win against ND at Beaver Stadium. Pinkey ran for 200+ that day as I remember, but it was not enough.

Just about any play on offense from the 1994 63-14 thrashing of oh-high-ya st.

Need a few more, just let me know............

1967. Penn State vs NC State........We stop NC State on 4th and goal at our 1 yard line with less than a minute left to upset #3 NC State. It was Joe's 1st significant victory.

I witnessed almost all of these, but the one I cherish most is Gifto's INT to seal JVP's second National Championship since it happened not too far from where I was sitting. Still remember running on the field after the victory.

A lot of great ones in this thread.

Hard to not say the Giftopoulos interception because of the magnitude of the game at the time.

The Harris run against Ohio State was really special though.

That Mills run was epic. My favorite play of that game, though, was when the snap sailed over his head - he chased it down, picked it up on a bounce, rolled out and hit his receiver downfield for big gain (can't remember who caught it).

How about MRob to Derrick Williams with 2 minutes left on 4th and 15. Coming off 4 out of 5 losing seasons, that comeback was huge. Personal favorite is Kevin Thompson to Chafie Fields against Miami in '99. Don't really want to talk about how that season ended and what happened the next 4 out of 5 years.

Looked for the Enis run as mentioned vs USC in 96 and came across this highlight. The run vs USC comes at 42sec but I ended up watched all 9 minutes. You may think you remember Curtis but this will really improve your memory. The commentators were all looking for words to describe him ("18 wheeler"). I don't believe you see a single arm tackle and it's clear that DB's were not looking forward to seeing him come their way. What a shame how it ended.

That #8 guy from SC just got trucked. I mean he has tire tracks all over him. Great, great stuff.

I remember a play against MSU in 1995. Richardson to Engram as time is running out. Only a 5 YD TD but Engram fought for the endzone.

The 1999 game against Arizona was another game where Beaver Stadium was at another level. So many big plays in that game.

As an OSU fan, the play that stung the most was the big hit on Pryor and subsequent fumble at the end of the '08 game. Not sure where that ranks on your lists, but as an opposing fan, that was the play that stung the most.

Was there for that one - amazing. Will add this one to all the other greats in this thread....

Hard to beat an 83-yard TD as the first play from scrimmage in the Rose Bowl. Awesome.

That reminds me - every 1994 highlight really makes me appreciate all the conference loyalty showed by the B1G sportswriters, giving a fraudulent and undeserved NC to Nebraska.

Since we're doing our favorite videos . . . watch and enjoy. What a tremendous job by the announcer, (Franklin???) who after the strip sack by Tamba on Smith and Pax recovery, enthusiastically shouts (at 8:58, listen for yourself) - RECOVERED BY OHIO STATE! Yeah. No wishful thinking there. In his effin' dreams.

Definitely a big game changer as the Bucks were moving the ball with the lead and the recovery by PSU (Navorro Bowman) led to a TD (sneak by Pat Devlin) and the score went to 10-6 PSU.

My favorite from just a WOW factor was Rashard Casey's run against the Illini. It was filfthy

Wanted a specific Paul Posluszny play (it's at 1:08) in this video, but since I couldn't find it, this will do - Poz's highlight reel going back to when he wore #39.....awesome stuff.

When MRob plowed that dude from Minnesota. Too bad he was hurt. But after all the losing seasons, it definitely said "We're back, bitches"

Mike Reid's total domination of Kansas in 4th quarter of 69 Orange Bowl.

Mike Munchak's continual pancaking of Sal Sunseri in the 48-14 game until Sunseri stopped playing and just ran away from Munchak play after play.

Joe running down the sidelines and yelling at pitt "You're a disgrace to the game". Unforgettable.

LOL, do you remember Kyle Brady knocking down the entire Illinois line as if it were a row of dominoes?

I think that's what the Pitt supporters promote what happened, but there were PSU players getting into it with Pitt players on that sideline and Joe was directing his comment broadly. IIRC Joe tried to relate that he was focused on the PSU players, though it would be hard to discern if you were standing there.

In that vein, how about Joe running down the sideline to the student section to chastise them for throwing snow balls during the '95 Michigan game? Joe was a real pisser. I mean that in a very good way.

Other than the two National Championships, 48-14 will stand forever as the greatest game in Penn State history. Chet Parlavecchio blasted a Pitt guy (Gordon Jones or somebody) out of bounds and damn near started a war with Sherrill. 48 unanswered.

A couple weeks ago I got annoyed with somebody and went through Pitt's record season by season since the day after Thanksgiving 1981. In 35 seasons they are something like 10 games over .500. In a third of a century since then, they've accomplished exactly nothing.

Somebody once had the greatest quote in the history of BWI talking about 48-14: Paterno did not just beat Pitt. He ended Pitt.

There's nobody who ever gets tired of this. Very easy to find on You Tube. All you need to type in is 48-14. It's at the top of the results page. Exactly where it should be.

So at the end of the 1st Qtr the announcers (Bill ? & Steve Zibriski) start gushing:
"The Panthers left no doubt in anybody's mind, at least at this stage of the game, that they are indeed the #1 college football team in America."
"I don't think at this point that anyone could argue with that Bill"
"They simply have been a confident, powerful, inventive team and they are led by Marino. I don't know how you're going to stop them."

To his credit, the one commentator did say "..at least at this stage of the game". Little did he know, but he was about to find out.
This clip has the Kenny Jackson 360 degree 'whoop' spin at the sideline which jukes 2 defenders and allows him to easily score & Mark Robinson's nifty Pick 6 (minus the shoe).
EDIT ADDITION: As I think about it, ARob used that same time move/spin quite a few times.

Thanks so much for sharing this video to remind us how great Enis was. I am convinced that had he not bought that silly suit in Harrisburg, that we would have beat Florida in the Citrus Bowl that year! He also could have been a great RB with the Bears if not for the knee injury.

I wonder if Robinson ever found his shoe????

I think it might also be feasible to google bomb 5b into a top position.

Tie for me. Matt Suhey's punt return for a TD vs NC State late in the 4th to seal the win with snow flurries coming down. That score made PSU #1 for the first time in school history.
The other is Jeff HIte's (sp) two touchdowns against Maryland. I wish I had some video on the 2 TDs.
