All things considered, with the talent (advantage) OSU had, it still took the opposing QB to be at less than 100% (no deep balls and fewer planned/adlibbed QB runs) and effectively no running game, plus an early Christmas gift of a center's fumble creatively called something else to squeak out a close win at home....not a win, but a gutsy and honorable performance by our boys....they and the coaches didn't fold like they did against OSU the past few years. My heart goes out to Clifford, playing 2 years without a reasonable running game...would have easily notched another 2 wins prior to this game without the injury. He did show some composure...what a physical turnaround in 3 weeks.
Anyone catch the OSU QB's post-game interview?...not quite Iowa-esque but I felt a little more humility about the offense's performance was in order...some posturing for the playoffs no doubt.
Did like the LBs Jacobs' play...it was nice to see that type of performance from someone not named Parsons...no disrespect to Brooks. I just hope the defense can keep some of the swagger as they replace some safeties, LBs, and DEs.
And as is more often than not, hope we can fill some holes and depth to make the common narrow gap in games with OSU to be overcome...they are entertaining games.
