Does anyone know if Ticketmaster will be offering the single game tickets at some point with a delivery option other than "mobile ticket"? I don't understand why they are limiting the options to just that choice.

I realize most people have a smart phone, but for instance my Dad doesn't, so he needs to have the tickets in hand or at least be able to print them out, but currently you can only get them as a mobile ticket where you can't even print them out.

Just curious if anyone knows what's up with the tickets this year. Thanks.

I don't know what the status of tickets are this year. However, companies like this do it to save money. In most cases, you should be able to buy the ticket and print it off from your phone.

When I bought Citrus Bowl tickets this year from TicketMaster they were 'mobil' tickets and they did not allow the tickets to be printed out. Not good for the older generation. You had to put the tickets in your cell phone into Google Pay. Crazy.

just looked on their web site....you are correct...they shut it off. Sorry.

I'm not even that old & I do embrace technology, but I still have a bit of the old school mentality in that I want my tickets in-hand & don't want to rely on my phone. I find it ridiculous that you can't even print out the mobile tickets.

I feel like well more than half that stadium on a Saturday is made up of older generation people who don't even know what a mobile ticket is.

Probably prevents fraud. Printing out tickets makes it simple to print them out several times and then sell them. Anyone purchasing a ticket this way must be crazy. But I'd bet it happens.

I agree, having to rely on your phone for anything when attending a game in Happy Valley is stressful. My battery is always drained by the time I go into the stadium, especially for later kickoffs because my phone is constantly searching for a cell signal due to the towers being overrun by 100,000 people in a region that's configured for about half that. It might be cheaper for schools to switch over to a mobile ticketing system, and it might make it easier for people to sell their tickets, but it does nothing for the overall experience.

It takes longer to get through the turnstiles, and for me personally, i'm without the keepsake ticket stub that I would have added to my collection. What am I supposed to do, take a screen shot of my phone screen and print that out? The cool thing about being a diehard fan is having the ability to reflect back on every game. Having a ticket stub was a big part of that for me.

I hadn't misplaced a single stub of games I'd attended up through 2017. We purchased tickets on ticketmaster day of game for Pitt. (Totally got screwed in price, had no idea the ticket price would soar as high as it did) and when it was all over, that 170 dollar 8'' 11'' sheet of paper got tossed.

There's just something about having that ticket in your hand, knowing you are going no matter what.

Here's my collection.

We are Northwestern fans but also fans of the sport and try to hit up as many stadiums as we can.

Making our first trip to Happy Valley this year and was disappointed when going to buy single game tickets that mobile was the only option. Noticed other schools doing this too.

We collect stubs from each game and stadium we attend so this growing development is disappointing.

Can probably get a Penn State season ticket holder to give you theirs. Just ask...
