Turning the topic on Bo. He was up 4 to 2 in the last period. He has to learn to wrestle smart. Even if he gives up a stall call he wins 4 to 3....Just not smart wrestling against a guy he already beat 3 times. He will learn from that though. This team is going to be even better next year believe it or not....

why is this spyker allowed on this forum. they just won another championship and he getting on the wrestlers that gave their all , all year. what a idiot

Yeah. Make sure you tell him he really pissed you off and make sure you inform Cael of everything everybody did wrong.
By the way. I am here and I saw the match. Morgan got beat by a really good wrestler and showed the kid respect at the end.
I really like and respect Morgan McIntosh. Great career, great tournament despite coming up just short of his goal.

As a fan of the Penn State wrestling program, Thank you Morgan.

I've never put anyone on ignore before, but you're going to be the first. There is just no way in hell anybody that has anything to do with the wrestling program likes you, dude. Your act is 110% lame.

Congrats to every damn kid on this team for a great season, especially all the the seniors!

Make certain that you talk to him in all capital letters and lots of exclamation points

Centex - I try to make it to practice at least 2 times a month. I saw the entire tour. I AM NOT making any fun of our guys. I LOVE OUR GUYS AND THEY ALL KNOW IT. I was simply pointing out a few things we could have done different. My heart just out to the guys who lost in the finals. But one thing i will say is they will learn from it and be on top of the podium next season. No one works harder trust me. We are in for a great ride !

He also took one for the team earlier in his career. Anywhere else he would've shirted and then gone 184. No doubt in my mind he's a 2x champ at 184, given how he beat on Gabe Dean in the past. But not at the same school as Quentin Wright and Ed Ruth. He knew his role coming in and embraced it. And he got 4 rings out of the deal.

Morgan, best of luck in your Olympic pursuits.

Perhaps once -- just once -- you could pour your heart through your brain before it goes out your mouth.

I strongly agree El....That one year i felt bad for him he was so undersized but held his own against some HUGE guys who were very good. He never complained and stayed focused. If you ever talked to Morgan in person he is a great young man too. Cael does a super job getting these guys to live their lives the right way on and off the mat. It's unreal...But when it comes to getting down to business he knows how to get the best out of them...

He's still wrestling slightly up in class - if I had to go guess, I'm pretty sure he will wrestle 86 kg (just under 190 lbs) Internationally for the NLWC. Cox looks like he'd probably go the other direction in Freestyle, 97 kg (214 lbs).

Good reminder. Like a lot of others, I think Mac was a 184 guy wrestling at 197. Even in the last few days, Mac looked tiny compared to guys like Burak and Cox (especially Cox).

Gotta wonder what Mac could have done at 184. But PSU needed him at 197.

he wrestled a tactical match. Was offensive in the first and almost paid for it. I believe he was simply looking for openings and Cox didn't give him any. He did shoot and try and make things happen early on... Mac is a one of kind and should be appreciated so much more.
So tough to do, aka Snyder last year not winning championship but his team and teammates did.... Morgan was smiling at the team presentation with good spirits. How many can do that? If you don't think he cared about winning, you should tell that to him directly - in the wrestling room. The ability to turn it on and off is a secret in life - stay under control!

I'm not sure what you want from him spyker. I thought he wrestled about as well as he could. Sometimes you're just up against a better guy.

+1. At the end of the day, the loss doesn't reflect on his huge heart or sterling character, but was more about being undersized for the weight class, and up against a much bigger, physically stronger man -- as someone said somewhere else, an NFL middle linebacker type.

To paraphrase Damon Runyan, 'the race is not always to the swift, nor the contest to the strong" . . . but that's the way to bet.

Am anxious to follow Mac at 86KG. I'm with those that feel Mac wrestled up for 4 years. And, Cox was wrestling down a weight. Would be interesting to see the REAL weight difference between the 2 at face off. And Cox is just a huge gangling kid that would give any 97 pounder a real tussle over the past 10 years. I also think Mac knew how good Cox is.

Loved seeing the huge smile on his face and having fun when they were presented the team trophy. Mac is an all time great Nittany Lion and the university is very fortunate to have had that California kid join the family!

The freshman are still young and may not yet realize the amazing contributions they made to get the team that trophy. They looked down after having lost and it made me kinda depressed as well. Maybe they felt they let people down....Their coaches, parents the fans ...since they talk about them in all their interviews. Or maybe not but I'm hoping soon when the dust settles they will look at things like most of the rest of us do. They are incredible athletes and every PSU fan is very proud of them.
