Most Dominant Wrestler & Other Stats

It won't be close at B1G's or Nationals. Seriously. Not being boastful just honest. They will account for 65-75 points by themselves. Then you have 5 other guys...

we lack scorers, not a single guy in the TF category.

Woah, Adam Mackie from Lock Haven, the pin machine? Talk about under the radar.

Mackie was a beast in HS, in our area he was always tossing guys around. Him and Pete Renda were always a nice one-two punch. Renda having a bit more success at the state and college level.

4 in the top 9, that's rather impressive. Surprised to see Hall there with 2 losses.

Also noticed -- and I think it's related: there's a huge drop-off from #4 to #5 on the list -- 5.40 to 4.71 pts per match. The gap between #4 and #5 (0.69 pts) is significantly bigger than the gap between #5 and #10 (0.44 pts).

So that's how a guy like Hall with 2 losses can get into the top 10 -- with enough bonus elsewhere to make up the difference.

BTW, those top 4 who are so far ahead of everyone else: Zain Retherford, Bo Nickal, Jason Nolf, Gabe Dean. Yep, 3 of them are ours.

It'd be interesting to know how many points Nolf has scored, prior to his falls.

If you include back points for pinning combination:

10-4 Parsons at 2:19
10-2 Marano at 1:27
12-3 Dean at 1:16
19-7 Carson at 3:45
14-3 Rifanburg at 3:48
18-4 Short at 3:44
16-3 Sharenbrock at 3:48
17-7 Sullivan at 3:39

adjusted for 7 minutes and you get well above a tech-fall score. PF- 32.79 PA- 9.33. Parsons was the only match in which a tech could have been in doubt had the fall not been secured. The point differential/7 minutes was in the 18-point range.

Wait, Nolf pinned Dean? Guess he couldn't wait for PD3 to get around to it.

That was some serious legwork, unless you were already keeping it. Thanks!

That's really remarkable.

Zain, Bo, and Nolf were ranked #3, #7, #4 in their respective senior years of high school. So, let's assume that Cael's only skill is getting kids to sign. Then, if you give that magic skill to another coach, would the other coach know which few top-10 kid to choose to give offers to (since he can't offer them all)? And would the other coach be able to develop the kids, even if Cael helped the other coach choose? I doubt it. Cael is amazing.

It would be fun to have a drafting contest, like LMS, in which we draft high school seniors and six years later figure out who chose the best guys.

The contest can be called, "Are You Cael?" Each contestant can draft 3 high school seniors, as Cael did with the 3 N's.
