in the area (and is really hot, but that's another story) and she claims that media has not even touched on the following points - probably because authorities don't want it released. Among her assertions:
  • Escapees have left behind taunting yellow post-its in the woods that make it apparent that they are still around... Remember the "racially insensitive" Have a Nice Day note they left on the cut pipe? Apparently that wasn't the only one, there are many
  • A parole officer who lives in the surrounding area was murdered within the last 11 days (how this hasnt been made public, and why, I do not know)
  • Authorities believe these two guys have had assistance from more people than the smokin' seamstress shop supervisor
  • Area surrounding the facility - apparently - is riddled with old mines, shafts, and caves.... Thought is that these guys are woven into these
Colleague was on vacation last week and returned to work Monday... Has to go thru (3) checkpoints each way to our facility in Keeseville NY. She and her husband live three miles from the prison - in the woods - and they are not sleeping so well... Went out and bought guns.... Scared shiddless

Now some of you might recall my remark last week that, according to someone within a NYS DOC training facility, that Troopers had these guys "surrounded, they know where they are" ... Apparently they know they are in the system of mines... We shall see

Very interesting. It is just a matter of time until they are found, but in the meantime they tie up valuable police resources and scare the hell out of the local population. I don't expect these guys to be taken alive.

Wonder what they are eating? Seems logical that if they are still alive someone has been helping them with food or shelter.

Where are you getting this info, Manca? You're not wrecking a certain reporter on this story, right?

Tell your friends guns aren't enough. They have to sleep sometime.

Get some big, mean sounding dogs. One inside, at least one outside. Borrow some from somebody of they have to.

Went out and bought guns....

It happened to me once were escaped convicts were suspected to be in the area where I lived, there were helicopters everywhere.... I didn't have to go out and buy any guns, but I did lock and load a pistol and kept it with me.

If they are in the woods then it will likely take a long time to apprehend these guys. Apparently those woods are impenetrable this time of year. They would need to know what edible foods to eat, but if they're sleeping in the mines or some hidden tunnel/cave they should be safe from predators and bugs. If they were sleeping out in the elements they would need probably a raised platform type bed to keep out of range of beers and who knows what else.

What kind of beers should they be watching out for? Lagers? Stout? Bock? Ale? :D

No real predators in the East The only bears are back bears and black bear attacks are extremely rare. Coyotes won't attack. Venomous snakes are about the only real fear.

Their real issues, other than getting caught, are shelter, water and food, in that order. If they found a cave/mine, they have shelter. Water is crucial. From what reports I heard they are not survivalists or well schooled in woodsmanship. But its seems to me they had lots of help getting out so they probably had transportation and/or food, water, clothes, and money.

As for the taunting signage, they may have had accomplice preposition all that as to draw search crews away. My guess is they are long gone.

^^^^THIS^^^^ - they had an accomplice to break out of prison. Even Forrest Gump might consider that they had CASH, CLOTHES, WEAPONS, CAMPING GEAR, etc. waiting for them along with (possibly) other accomplices who are diverting the search parties. Yet, all we hear is "the search continues". If I lived anywhere near there, I would be packing my 9mm Glock on my hip, my .380 in my boot and carrying my Ithica pump with the sawed off barrel and the plug removed (allowing 5 shells in case they are needed). That would be for work, grocery shopping, cigar camp, golfing and pub time! Oh, wait a minute, I do that now!:cool::cool: Just in case they also had a car waiting for them.

Quite a number of years ago I spend several weeks at a client a few miles from Saranac Lake. We flew in/out of Plattsburg and before each takeoff/landing they would send a truck to drive the length of the runway to clear it of wild animals. Flights in/out were just a few days a week. We were approx 30 miles from the prison and being in the Adirondacks, the area is extremely heavily wooded and rugged. It's going to be be very problematic finding these these guys as its already proven to be.

Key code for above:
Bold: Irrelevant, ancient information about ME!
Underline: Decades old observations regarding the original topic with a "Captain Obvious" like presentation.

you lost me after the comment about your colleague is really hot because I don't see any photos of said colleague...

and the accomplish is "smokin." Cigarettes hopefully because she sure is lacking in the "smokin" department. Reports are now that she wanted the escapees to kill her husband.

for the wife

This reminds me of a friend who bought a Beretta .380 at a gun show. It was a pretty gun and he was very pleased with the purchase. Being the SOB that I am, I had to congratulate him on buying a gift for his wife.

In reality, I can't say that I'd want to risk being shot by a .380 and they sure are compact. I have a snub nosed .38 (Ruger LCR) that serves the same purpose.

Yeah, they kind of look like toys ...... But they aren't.

One of the woman in the search teams have said they are searching an area locals typically never go to.

Har har har. I guess any of the bad tasting ones they should avoid.

I saw on the late news last night that they search team has said that the trail has gone cold... I don't know what that will mean, but it doesn't sound promising.
