This is a very different team this year if Donovan Smith and Jessie James use their last years of eligibility. Having Donovan protecting Hack's blind side and Jesse who is a tight end who can stretch the field and actually make catches would have been a game changer. Those two players would have given us at least 2 more wins. I know that other teams have players jump early, and for both players it personally turned out well, but for a team that is trying to recover from scholarship reductions losing seniors hurts pretty badly.
I don't know if Coach Franklin is a good or bad game day coach. I still think he is playing with the hand that he was dealt and is building the program up for a better future. Only time will tell.
