Can we get a consistent message at least? Last year after we lost PSU fans were over here crowing about how that was our once in a lifetime shot to ever beat them, but here we are a year later with a similar theme. If Franklin gets fired do we get a third chance of lifetime during the "transition" year?

I don't think PSU fans realized how much the sanctions would hurt. PSU's game depth proably won't catch up with their practice depth (70 Soph/RS Frosh/Frosh) until 2017 or so.

Rutgers can win this game...but..generally teams don't end up beating PSU withhout an experienced QB. Walker at Temple has played a lot, they had a senior last year at NW, and a 6th senior at Maryland in 14. PSU LB crew has been decimated, giving opposing offenses a bit more help.

I think you guys will really struggle this year, Rutgers has never been great at breaking in new QB's. Nova had his flaws but he was a savvy vet and a team leader. Things are simply heading south at RU right now when they need to be ticking up. The best coaching in the world won't hold up unless you simply start recruiting better. And now you have PSU, UM, and Ohio State stopping by every school in New Jersey that is going to be tough. If you "athlete up" you risk the chance of taking guys who are not going to a powerhouse for a "reason" (see current headaches), and if you simply rely on coaching 2* kids up they will get overpowered and ran by.

I'll judge PSU's coaching once they are on an even playing field in 2017-18. If you watch PSU (many of you do) you'll see younger kids repeately taking snaps from older kids.. as they are simply better athletes. This will stop happening in about 2017-18, at that point we can let the talented youngsters ease in. PSU needs help in the trenches and the incoming kids including our frosh this year really look like some high-end kids.

In 2015 PSU simply has to run the ball.. even if it's 3.5 yards per carry it will take away the pass rushing legs of the opponents. If the coaches are not stubborn and let Barkely and Scott run the ball that 3.5 might be a much more productive number. This will work against RU, Maryland, NW.. it will work against everybody but tOSU and MSU who have talented depth behind the starters.. the whole key to being a dominant team in the BIG is to have starting level players at the 2 spots on your depth chart, and tOSU and MSU have that right now.-sg
