I'll keep it brief:

my gut tells me a 3 loss Michigan team is an unmitigated disaster, a 4 loss team is unrecoverable

Will they lose to both Wisconisn AND Ohio State?

Badgers look unstoppable. Well coached, well disciplined, smart play calling. and in Madison, tough tough tough road game to win.

My bold call is Meat Chicken beats the Buckeyes in the final week of the season, and Furball stays on another 3 creepy years.

If they end the season with 4 (possibly FIVE) losses, I think Furball goes. He was not brought in to win consecutive third place trophies.

Yes they will lose to both Wiscy and OSU and its going to get ugly for Harbs.

Wiscy's OL will destroy the overrated Michy Dline and the Wiscy DC, (whom I really like) will have blitz schemes designed that will complete overwhelm their newbie QB.
That being said Taylor and Hornibrook can't continue to be turnover machines either.

Interesting. I don't see Harbaugh being fired after three years even if they end up losing four games tho.

I don't either but next year things could get awfully interesting. Harbaugh's flat out weirdness will only work if he's winning the division not coming in 4th and 5th.

In my opinion (which doesn't count for much), I don't think that they would pull the plug on Harbaugh even if they lose their last 3. They will say that if Speight doesn't get hurt they would have won some more, plus they are going to give JH more time who would they get to be the what 4th coach in 8 years??? That would make that job look like plutonium to other coaches. So I think that they have to give him more time being their "chosen one" and everything.

Now I think the Michigan has a better chance against Wisconsin than OSU. I think they have a punchers chance against both. But I think the game last week against Iowa, says more about Iowa's "manicness" than Wisconsin dominance.

I am not so sold on Wiscy yet. They've played nobody.

Utah St., Fl Atlantic, BYU, NW, Neb, Purdue, MD, ILL, Indy and Iowa.

The signature win is Iowa but Iowa is a different team home and away. And it was an away game for Iowa.

I think this game is a toss up, and in fact, think UM will win.

tOSU is a different story. I don't see how UM has the ammo to beat tOSU.

Remember when the college football media was having orgasms about Harbaugh coming into Michigan, especially on the Big Ten Network? The media definitely is not the place to look if you want to know what's going on. Harbaugh's a good coach, but he's far from the 2nd coming. Knew it then and I know it now.

I might lay the +7.5 on Meat Chicken this weekend

I would. I think an offense like Wisconsin's plays into Michigan's defensive strength, their D-Line. A spread it out team like ours gives them more problems. I think it will be close. In general I'm rooting for complete chaos of the CFP.

So personally I would like to see the Big10, get completely shut out of the CFP, and even at least one other Power 5 conference (Pac12). I think that this is the only way we get to an 8 team playoff sooner rather than later.

you know what else is crazy? I think NW beats Minn this weekend. Which means if Wisconsin beats MI, then they play IN Minnesota next week against a bipolar Big Ten team fighting for a bowl bid.

Do not think wisky is that great.Think they played a soft schedule to date.Think this one will be close. As far as the bucks it all depends on which osu team shows up.

Good point. Get two ACC or two SEC teams in that playoff and watch the other conferences flip out that their season was meaningless. -> Fastest route to an expanded playoff to ensure every conference gets a piece of the pie.

And to stay on topic - 0% chance Michigan cuts ties this season with Harbs. Who would they bring in?

Ha, I can see Minnesota giving them a game. PJ will have his team sky high. Don't know if they could have any chance but with a Bowl game on the line, who knows.

Exactly, they would then have had 4 coaches in the last 8 years. Now if Harbaugh leaves on his own, then maybe Les Miles???

JMO but I don't think NW beating Minny is crazy at all. This is typical NW. Start the season off slow and finish up like gang busters. They seem to do it every year. I still think Fleck and Minny is all hype.

Sorry, but I'm running out of excuses against Wisconsin - 66 yards of total offense for Iowa. I hate Wisconsin and the brand of football they play, but even I have to admit that was impressive. The only way we beat them last year was because we had the best receiving corps in the B1G and were forced to use it to its full extent. There are few teams that can match that, and nobody I see them playing in the B1G is as good as we were last year on offense. Iowa's previous worst loss was 7 points to MSU and Northwestern. Iowa had 2 pick 6s and still lost 38-14. I think the Badgers are being underrated a bit.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I think PJ's enthusiasm is genuine. I think he is a guy that players can relate to and buy into. So who knows, I watched that 4 show "Being PJ Fleck" and it was pretty good insight to him as a coach. He is a ball of fire.

You may be right. We'll know soon enough.

I think everyone is underestimating Michigans defense. We are the only team that rolled up a bunch of points on them. We are only team to roll up over 20 points on them.

Not sure why it is overrated because we chewed them up with ease. We were hitting our stride after a bye week, it was a white out, everything was in our hands. They have been really solid defensively other then the PSU game and the rebound game from losing to MSU vs Indiana. They were still pretty good in that Indiana game, mistakes and turnovers kept it close. Indiana only had about 250 yards of offense.

I am gonna give PSU offense and bye prep a big pat on the back and say that Michigan still has a pretty darn good defense. It also helps Penn State if Michigan wins out. I think they beat an unproven Wisconsin team Saturday and shut down the badgers offense.

I don’t think they have the weapons to beat Ohio State, I honestly haven’t seen much of their new QB but I don’t feel like they can hang. However, Meyer had shown that he calls a prettt conservative game in big road games. I think this game ends up close and Michigan finally sneaks out a victory vs Urban.

I feel likewise. Michigan isn't a great team but they're going to be the most athletic team Wisconsin will play in the regular season. I don't know exactly why I feel this way but I hope Blue wins big tomorrow.

Yeah, from a Penn State perspective, Michigan winning their last 2 would help a lot. They may just do it. Tough order though.

He has recruited well and has a very young team this year. Michigan will start being highly competitive over the next couple years. I hate them, but cannot ignore the facts.

I generally agree, but nothing from the Michigan fan base had made me feel they have the patience of, for example, Penn State fans . . .

FIRE! COACH! FRANKLIN!! lol

Well, they were senior laden last year with 11 players who were drafted and still lost 3 of their last 4 and finished in 3rd place in the division. Those are facts too.

My guess is two more years at the most for Jim in Ann Arbwhore. Harbs is not having as much fun as he thought, and he flips into an open NFL job that works for him.

Michigan always recruits well. Michigan always has a roster full of 4 and 5 star recruits. Michigan always loses to Ohio State and under-achieves.

IMO, Harbaugh is as secure as any Big 10 coach. The only people that will be calling for his scalp are those same types who insist JF and staff need to learn some things about coaching. In other words the never wore a jock fan boys. If next season Michigan loses 4, there may be some willingness on both sides to part ways.
There are going to be many more openings this year than "marquee" coaches to fill them. The carousel will require some Mark Richt type of lateral moves just to satisfy the beast.
Let's be honest. Some of the very best coaches we will never hear about are guys who labor in anonymity, taking sub par talent and winning a few more games than they should at some middle of nowhere D2 school. These are the guys that ADs know they should be looking for, but alumni and fanbases want "Miss America." Every fan base thinks they are a sleeping giant and all they need is a coaching change. LOL. Nebraska, Texas AM, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Texas Tech, UCLA, Kansas, Arizona, Arizona State, Kentucky, just to name a few likely openings.....

just checked their stats, not one receiver with more than 300 yds this year . . .
Their new wb, who has provided a spark (mostly by not making mistakes), has completed less than 10 passes to WR’s in 2 and a half games
UM will need UW’s wb to throw int’s to win, and their qb has thrown a few this year.
I just don’t see uw losing this week.
