Just got back from a four-day weekend in Nashville, my first time there. My wife and I decided to spend our 18th Anniversary there since she is such a big fan of country music. Anyway, to make a long story even longer...I was hesitant about wearing my PSU gear down south. So my wife was like: "You where it everywhere you go, why stop now?!!?? (And trust me...I was not worried about Vanderbilt's fan base of 11 that are still pissed that we stole Franklin
So...I rocked it for three straight days and nights of extreme partying down on Broadway St. I had at least five or six "We Are" shout-outs and a hand-full of others gave props to Penn State and had nothing but positive things to say about our school. Not once did Sandusky or anything related come up. I even had one guy come up to me and tell me how he never even thought about PSU much until he married into it...and it turns out, his wife is cousins with both Mickey Schulers!!
We had a fantastic time in Nashville. Great anniversary weekend and the positive PSU props was just icing on the cake. If you have never been....I highly recommend it. There are some great bars and even more impressive musicians and bands everywhere there. Plus, the people are way more laid-back, kind and considerate than anything I get on a daily basis here in LA.
