NBC swipes ESPN’s Todd Blackledge to team with Noah Eagle for new Big Ten coverage

NBC has swiped Todd Blackledge from ESPN for its forthcoming Saturday college football package and will team him with 26-year-old play-by-player, Noah Eagle, according to sources.

I was actually just thinking about this the other day in terms of who NBC might bring in since they will need another team in addition to the Notre Dame coverage. I was guessing they'd try to grab some folks with Big Ten roots so Blackledge is an awesome get!

CBS will just transition over their SEC announcers (Nessler and Danielson are both from the Midwest and probably would be cool with it).

Agreed with Danielson, but I am/was a big fan of Nessler. It might just be age getting to him, unfortunately. Not sure how much longer he has.

I don't think they are anti PSU, it's just that they are ridiculously favorable to the SEC. It will be interesting to see if they continue that once a different conference starts paying the bills.
