So why doesn’t the NCAA allow a player, that declares for the NFL draft and does not get picked to return back to his college team. Let’s take Bates for an example. Let’s say Bates received bad intel on where he will be drafted and is not drafted, then he could decide to return back to PSU. It doesn’t mess up recruiting because the draft is over early enough in the recruiting process as to not cause a problem. If it does cause a problem then he could enter the transfer portal. What does everyone think of this?
