Lincoln is a great down. Redeveloped the old train depot area with great bars and restaurants. Sushi blue is my favorite!Anybody else traveling to Lincoln for the match on the 17th? First time to Lincoln, any recommendations on dining or lodging
I have 2 extra GA if you want them. Just would ask what I paid.IF and I repeat IF I do this... how hard is it to get tickets?
I am going, lord willing and the snow don’t fly, just to boo him. Board meetup, bros?I hope JB is there in person to watch the beat down.
you can eat fresh corn right from the fields!(Mod - posts below moved from wkn's stats thread)

The first five matches of this dual are as good as any this year.take it easy on my Huskers, btw.
125: Lilledahl v Smith
good gauge for Luke vs. returning AA
133: Braden v PA boy Van Dee
141: Beau v Hardy
Beau's clearly the pick, but Hardy is crafty.
149: SVN vs. Ridge
match of the night pits two of four in the conversation for this year's finals
157: Kasak v Antrell
two great Sophs, one coming up, one coming down in weight.
165: MM vs Bubba Wilson
Bubba > CStarr so mitchell gotta hope to limit bonus
174: Levi vs Big Len
184: CStarr vs Silas
197: Barr vs McDanel
285: we don't really need to wrestle this one, do we?
dual won't be close, but the matchups should make for good entertainment.
The first half of the dual should be very entertaining, if not wild. 174 is very interesting with a guy moving up two weight classes this year and the other in Pinto looking like he’s moving down two. I know it’s only one, but he looked like a monster at 184, I can’t comprehend how he’s pulling it off. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Nebraska’s up going into the break, they probably matched up with PSU as well as anyone last year dual-wise as well. But then I’d expect Penn State to sweep the top half and put it away.
We seem to stagger that particular training segment anymore, but usually on a Friday Sunday weekend. We don't have a Friday Sunday weekend until February so I imagine it will either be Michigan State or Nebraska. Is this the annual "train through" dual? Seems like a good one to push the guys with some good matchups.
Assuming good health and all starters toeing the line, I do expect them to shut out Nebraska.Wrestle stat has penn st beating neb. 33-0 but first 5 matches are real close. Don't think they will shutout Nebraska, so I expect a loss at 125 or 133 and maybe 157. 8-2 or 9-1 with good guys winning 30 -3
I can't see the Assassin losing to Taylor maybe but I don't see it.Wrestle stat has penn st beating neb. 33-0 but first 5 matches are real close. Don't think they will shutout Nebraska, so I expect a loss at 125 or 133 and maybe 157. 8-2 or 9-1 with good guys winning 30 -3
It would shock me.I can't see the Assassin losing to Taylor maybe but I don't see it.
The above is more like a scenario tied to Iowa in terms of competitive matches IMO. We are going to steamroll Nebby. The competition has been light but you can just see the upward trajectory and development of the young ones. Luke Jan 12th already looks significantly more confident and loose than Luke Dec 12th.Wrestle stat has penn st beating neb. 33-0 but first 5 matches are real close. There is bound to be a lot of movement this coming week in the master rankings because of all the Big 10 dual meets. The above is more like a scenario tied to Iowa in terms of competitive matches IMO. I think a loss is possible, but at this point it would have to be considered an upset.
Iowa is far stronger and we have an outside shot at a shutout, more likely 8-2 just based upon probabilities, but I can't tell you with any confidence who those 2 might be.
We are starting to see this team is even more special than we thought it was going to be back in October.
So they think Penn State takes all ten matches but only gets three bonus points?Wrestle stat has penn st beating neb. 33-0 but first 5 matches are real close. Don't think they will shutout Nebraska, so I expect a loss at 125 or 133 and maybe 157. 8-2 or 9-1 with good guys winning 30 -3
So they think Penn State takes all ten matches but only gets three bonus points?
Andrews was teched by both Feldman and Steveson.
Kerk will at least do the same, so who do they think gets the MD?
Yea I did my math wrong 37-3So they think Penn State takes all ten matches but only gets three bonus points?

So a shutout is out of the question? 😉The first half of the dual should be very entertaining, if not wild. 174 is very interesting with a guy moving up two weight classes this year and the other in Pinto looking like he’s moving down two. Never! WE ARE good sir. I can’t wait to watch this one.So a shutout is out of the question? 😉
Haha, Cael’s already eating his lunch. My Media Availability Videos are up. Jim Carlson beat me to my planned question about Cael's relationship with Manning, toward the end. He got a decent answer too!

I have been saying he probably wins 157 this year since summer. Shapiro and Kasak should be a great match. I hardly ever "under" estimate any of them. Until something happens that makes it impossible to occur I will believe PSU is going to shutout the Hawks. Hell i think they are going to have 8 or 9 in the finals. Why do people continue to underestimate Kasak? He is doing EVERYTHING that other phenomenal PSU wrestlers have done in the past, and who continued to get better. Took 3rd as a freshman, and is 10-0 this year with 70% bonus rate. Tyler should be given every benefit of the doubt until he gives us a reason.
Not sure if this was a direct response to anything but I have found it weird that people think Duke is just gonna walk in the door and eat his lunchWhy do people continue to underestimate Kasak? Unrelated to Duke obviously, but Kasak sure has gained some serious upper body mass since his 141 days. He looks like a full feed 157 to me.Not sure if this was a direct response to anything but I have found it weird that people think Duke is just gonna walk in the door and eat his lunch
Who is underestimating him? I agree otherwise. If that assassin didn't convince anyone still on the fence, well I can't help you.Why do people continue to underestimate Kasak? Probably for the same reason people question(ed) Levi. Weight class jump. Why do people continue to underestimate Kasak? For me, it’s more of a statement about my expectations about Duke than about Kasak. Kasak could win nationals (which would all but guarantee a RS year for Duke), and I’ll still think that Duke will be able to win the spot. That’s not “writing off” Kasak, it’s a belief that Duke is something special.Probably for the same reason people question(ed) Levi. Weight class jump.
It's like people forget that college age males are still maturing physically during their late teens and early 20's.
I said at the beginning of the season if he keeps putting on size any close to what he has in the past year in half he is gonna be 174 after levi.Unrelated to Duke obviously, but Kasak sure has gained some serious upper body mass since his 141 days. He looks like a full feed 157 to me.
