In a hotly and highly anticipated game, NG bests Roman Catholic tonight in a game that featured two top nationally ranked team with above six D1 prospects.
Lamar Stevens led all scorers with 26 points and mine rebounds! Simply, Lamar played very well tonight an a variety of and 1's mid range jump shots, attacking the rim, and two jump shots. Lamar has come a long way in his game, a lot tougher of a player then he was last year! NG focused on him the most, they game planned for him and they still could not stop him. I give a lot of credit to Lamar, he has toughned up and he has tightened up his game.
Tony Carr finished with 18&5 tonight. A solid game by Carr, nothing earth shattering, but solid, which is what I come to expect. He made about four floaters in the lane, which is a huge shot for him as he gets into college. Made two pull up jumo shots as well. He struggled to defend Quade Green tonight. My one concern about Carr is he still has not proven to me to bit a consistent jumo shot or three, that's going to be a huge part of his development. But I give him credit he hung in there tonight and was in that lane tonight.
Bostick, he had little to no impact on the game. I have watched him for years and I just don't see it with him at PSU a six foot three big man just doesn't cut it at this level, especially when you can't shoot. Maybe Chambers can get something G out of him, but it is going to take time.
Roundtree from NG finished with 22&10 and dunks, put backs, and a couple of nice inside moves with decent footworks. Miami, Cuse, SMU, Nova, Maryland and others are involved.
Quade Green finsihed with 20&5&4. Same schools after Roundtree are after Green, maybe even a couple of more schools that I have heard.
Overall, I was impressed with Lamar Stevens the most. But the next three best players on the court came from NG. Carr played well, but a little to late to put the games on the pedal.
